Springmaid Pier Resort has long been an icon in Myrtle Beach, with its beginning as a recreational get away for cotton mill workers. Later it became an affordable family vacation place. Today it has grown into one of the largest resorts along the Grand Strand with the pier being one of the focal points of a family vacation. It is the longest pier in Myrtle Beach at 1060 feet long and 36 feet wide all culminating in a 110 foot “T” at the end.
While their guests can enjoy dining with beautiful views of the Atlantic at Barnacles Bar and Grille. Some of Myrtle Beach’s best fishing has been done from Springmaid Pier with the help of the tackle shop to provide bait, rent rods and reels and all the other trappings to make an awesome fishing experience.
Guests can access the pier for free with a wrist band; non guests will pay an access fee. Fishing passes are required by all who wish to enjoy this sport.
