Deep Sea Fishing
Deep Sea Fishing is a must activity when you are staying in Myrtle Beach. Sailing out into the open waters of the Atlantic on an adventure is exciting. There are several companies available to schedule your excursion; three popular places are Voyager Fishing Fleet, located in Calabash, NC, Low Country Fishing Charters in Little River, SC and Captain Dick’s of Murrells Inlet.
Voyage Fishing Fleet is located just north of the South Carolina, North Carolina state line on Nance Street just behind Coleman’s Restaurant. They offer a variety of deep sea fishing excursions. The packages range from one half of a day to overnight. They also have a twelve hour Gulf Stream trip and a brand new partycruise ship. Voyage offers two Dolphin Cruises. Dolphin cruises will sail through the waterway and out into the Atlantic Ocean behind the Shrimp Fleet. Dolphins, sharks and other sea life follow behind and feed behind the shrimp fleet. During the cruise the crew will bring in a basket of marine life that has shrimp, crabs, fish, urchins, sea horses, sand dollars and even baby sharks, an excellent educational excursion.
You can book your cruise on the Cut’n Loose, captained by David Cutler from Low Country Fishing Charters. Captain Cutler has over fifteen years experience as a “Licensed USCG Captain.” The vessel is a tournament rigged twenty-seven feet Sailfish Center console. It is equipped with the latest electronics to make for a smooth ride and enjoyable fishing experience.
Captain Dick’s is located in the south strand in Murrells Inlet. From the Crazy Sister Marina the fleet of boats under the company can take guests on a number of deep sea adventures. Deep sea fishing, game fishing, shark fishing and exploration of local marine life (dolphin watch, saltwater marsh adventure) are all available at Captain Dick’s. They also offer parasailing, boat rentals and Wave Runner rentals.
